Lingonberry Preserves
Hafi Lingonberry Preserves is made from wild Swedish lingonberries. Most Americans are not familiar with the lingonberry, which grows wild in Scandinavian forests and in Northern Canada, and flourishes in the summer during the midnight sun. They are small firm berries with a slightly sweet and sour flavor. Lingonberry Preserve is a traditional Scandinavian food with an exotic flavor. Hafi Lingonberry Preserve is made in Sweden and is a delicious alternative to tart jams and preserves, such as currant or raspberry. Delicious as a condiment with many meat dishes or as a dessert with whipped cream or milkshake.
The very first Hafi products were made in 1938 by Carl Dellgren, who joined with his son and son-in- law to found a cider house. Headquartered in Getinge, Halland County, Sweden, Hafi is run by Carl's great-grandson. Marcus Bjurklint continues the tradition of using fresh, quality ingredients in order to achieve the best tasting jams.
